Switzerland County High School held its graduation ceremony for the class of 2011 on a hot, sunny Sunday afternoon, but the large crowd inside the gym witnessed a wonderful commencement.
Jacob Chandler, who graduated form Switzerland County High School in 2008 with academic honors, has graduated from Ivy Tech College with an associates degree in Applied Science.
Jennifer South, a 2007 graduate of Switzerland County High School has graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.
On a bright and sunny Memorial Day, a large crown of Switzerland County residents and visitors took some time to come to the Veteran’s memorial at the courthouse for annual services.
Her workplace is on the main street where the crash happened. This is the hub of the business centre and you need to be able to access safe parking for shop goers and delivery vehicles, she said. It makes it difficult, dangerous and frustrating for a lot of workers and residents each time they come into town. Mrs Marsh said it was particularly unsafe for delivery drivers. She said she was unaware the changes were coming until they were put in place. I don t think any of the shops were notified of the change and I only found out after our delivery boys from Bloomhill were approached by the council with their ticket book to explain the change, she said.

Noosa Council is âconfidentâ any harm to the environment has been contained after an investigation found workers had burned and buried treated timber at a Pomona depot last year.
A Department of Environment and Science investigation was launched after officers attended the Yurol Forest Drive site in October.
Councilâs acting infrastructure services director Bryan OâConnor said the council welcomed the findings from the department.
 Mr OâConnor said the council had taken a âproactive approachâ and remediated the site while the investigation continued. The Pomona depot on the outskirts of the Yurol State Forest is at the centre of the investigation.
The project is seen by the council as a major hinterland economic generator. The risk-based adventure playground beside the Cooroy Library in Maple St will include a double flying-fox, climbing tower with slide, climbing structures with swings, water play area, picnic shelters and an amenities block. The Leslie Patrick Park built by Aspect. We always look forward to these interesting, out of the ordinary jobs, Mr Hoogvliet said. This is a bit of recognition for the hard work and the quality work you put out there. The playground equipment is going to be challenging in a way - we re going to have to hit the ground running with everything we ve got.
