2 Read / Add Comments A South Jersey man shot his cousin during an argument, then drove him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead over the weekend, authorities said. Antwian Warthen, 29, apparently shot Horace Warthen at his home on the 400 block of Garden Avenue in Pemberton on Friday around 9:15 p.m., Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief David King said. Antwian then drove Horace, of Brown Mills, to Capital Health at Deborah, where he was pronounced dead by a physician, authorities said. Police found Antwian walking in a nearby neighborhood approximately 30 minutes later, and took him into custody for questioning. He was charged with murder and related weapons offenses, police said.

N.J. man, 31, killed in Burlington County car crash Updated Dec 28, 2020; A 31-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in the day after Christmas in Pemberton Township, police said. Donte Boyer II, 31, of Brown Mills, was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous westbound on Lakehurst Road near Ridgeview Avenue in the Brown Mills section of Pemberton on Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. when his car ran off the road and struck a tree, Pemberton Lt. Jay Watters said in a news release A portion of the tree that the vehicle struck fell on the top of the car, Watters said. Donte, who was the only person inside the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
