More than 70 of the world s most beautiful women have gathered at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, for the 69th Miss Universe pageant. And, today, these beauty queens strutted their way down the ramp in their glitzy, glamorous gowns for the Evening Gown round at the preliminary competition.
The preliminary competition was judged by eight women members of the selection committee - Arden Cho, Zuleyka Rivera, Sheryl Adkins - Green, Deepica Mutyala, Keltie Knight, Brook Lee, Christine Duffy, and Tatyana Orozco. The event was hosted by reigning queen, Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow. It LIVE streamed on the official Miss Universe YouTube channel.

In 1859, Queen Emma Kalanikaumakaʻamano Kaleleonālani Naʻea Rooke established Queen’s Hospital to save the rapidly declining Native Hawaiian population, providing free services to those suffering from foreign-introduced illnesses like smallpox and influenza. In 1867, she founded The St. Andrew’s Priory School for Girls. Her talents extended into music as a vocalist, pianist and dancer and regarded for her skills as an equestrian.
