A QUAD bike which was on fire at Roose Station may have been thrown from a bridge, police have said. British Transport Police Lancashire were called just before 10pm last night after a quad bike was on fire on the platform at Roose Station. Police have now said the quad bike may have been thrown from the road bridge. A spokesman for British Transport Police Lancashire said: At 9.58pm yesterday we were informed of a quad bike on fire on the platform of Roose Station. It appears it may have been thrown from the road bridge. If anyone has information that can assist our enquiries please #TextBTP on 61016, quoting ref 2100032505.

Terrifying moment driver nearly collides with train at level crossing

TRANSPORT police have released shocking footage of the moment a train nearly collided with a car. The driver was said to have made a dangerous assumption at the open level crossing near Park House Farm in Barrow.  British Transport Police shared the footage in an effort to raise awareness of the potential hazards of level crossings.  ⚠️ NEAR MISS ⚠️ This is the moment a car driver at an open #LevelCrossing (farm crossing with no barriers) made the dangerous assumption that because one train had passed that it was safe to cross. It wasn’t! In the clip, a train passes over the level crossing at the farm and the driver of a red car begins to move forward, not noticing another coming past in the other direction.
