it was a cowardly mission from the very start, dozens maybe even 100 gunmen stormed a girl s boarding school in nigeria in the middle of an april night in 2014. after these boko haram terrorists took nearly 300 girls hostage an international outcry began. ulge in these girls barack and i see our own daughters. the plight of the chibok girls was leading newscasts for weeks and splashed upon the covers of newspapers and magazines around the world, #bringbackourgirls was trending worldwide. since then arrests have been made and more than 100 of the girls have been released but this year will mark the fifth anniversary of the girls disappearance and around 100 of them are still missing. what has become of them and why has the world forgotten? i was joined recently by a co-founder of the bring back our girls movement from nigeria.
