Career Center interviewing for superintendent
COSHOCTON - The Board of Education of the Coshocton County Career Center will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. May 18 in the board room of the career center. The purpose is to hold an interview for the position of superintendent. Current superintend Rick Raach is retiring at the end of the year.

WEST LAFAYETTE - The zoning and building codes committee of West Lafayette Village Council will meet at 6 p.m. May 18 in council chambers. The next regular council meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 24.

Nelsonville woman dies in Frazeysburg crash
FRAZEYSBURG - The Zanesville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate a Tuesday afternoon crash that resulted in the death of a Nelsonville woman.
The patrol post said the wreck occurred just after 4 p.m. Tuesday on Ohio 586 near Raiders Road in Frazeysburg. It was determined that William Blosser, 42, of Lancaster, failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection. He was then struck by a vehicle driven by Jeromey Willet, 46, of Zanesville, the post stated.
Diana Kasler, 39, of Nelsonville, was a passenger in Blosser s vehicle. She was killed in the crash, authorities said. Another passenger in the vehicle, Tammy Blosser, 43, was transported via medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of injuries. Neither driver was injured, the post said.

WEST LAFAYETTE - At a recently school board meeting, Ridgewood Superintendent Mike Masloski gave a commendation to Treasurer Jay Tingle for the the district receiving the Auditor of State Award for fiscal year 2020. He also recognized district employees that have helped with preparing, packing, loading school buses and delivering meals for distribution on the daily and weekly bus routes to students and other participants in remote meal distribution. Monday was the last day for such distribution as students will return to face-to-face instruction five days a week on March 22. Students remaining on remote learning will get meals on Fridays.
