Education: 5-year Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University
Public service: Bourne Board of Selectmen, 2018-present; Bourne School Building Committee, 2015-present; Wareham Board of Selectmen 2006-2009. Public service and giving back to the community is a passion of mine and one I have been proud to be involved with for over 25 years.
How long have you served on the Board of Selectmen? Why are you running again?
I have served on the board for the last three years, and I have been proud and grateful to represent Bourne. This board has been highly professional and a pleasure to work with. We have tackled all of the challenges that have come our way, together. There are several challenges ahead for our town including wastewater, transportation infrastructure, development, and housing, and I would like to continue to keep our community on the proactive and innovative approach that we have initiated.

As a longtime Fall River resident, and current social work student at Bridgewater University, I am compelled to alert the community to an important policy issue. Raising the juvenile jurisdiction age provides youth offenders with the best treatment possible for rehabilitation. Although youth offenders should be held accountable for their crimes, the consequences should remain within the juvenile system if we are to rehabilitate them.
The Department of Youth Services is committed to improving outcomes of children via services and programs and should invest energy and resources to promote raising the age of juvenile jurisdictions. Senator Joseph A. Boncore and Representatives James J. O’Day and Kay Khan have worked tirelessly to extend treatment opportunities to youth offenders by raising the age of juvenile jurisdictions through Bill H.3420. Howe
