GlobeNewswire NexPoint Securities, a registered broker-dealer that serves as the distributor for investment products on the NexPoint platform, announced today the appointment of Brian Graime as director of annuity and insurance marketing organization (IMO) distribution. In his role, Mr. Graime will lead annuity product distribution and develop long-term distribution strategies for the firm’s planned expansion into the insurance market. For its initial expansion into insurance, NexPoint Securities will be working with insurance solutions provider NexAnnuity through its life insurance company subsidiary to distribute fixed annuity products. This will give NexPoint access to the NexAnnuity network, which includes an insurer, insurance investment manager, and other related businesses, to support future growth.

News Transcript News Briefs, Jan. 13 Six men have been hired by Freehold Township and have joined the ranks of the Freehold Township Police Department. During a Township Committee meeting on Dec. 2, the oath of office was administered to Alexander Conoshenti, Rocco Hernandez, Matthew Horvath, Nicholas Mezzacappa, Erik Stumpf and Justin Purves. Municipal officials said the appointment of the new patrol officers follows the retirement of veteran officers from the Freehold Township police force. According to the 2020 municipal budget, Freehold Township is budgeted for 76 police officers, including superior officers (sergeants, lieutenants, captains, chief). The police officers’ salaries and wages account for about $12.9 million (30.5%) of Freehold Township’s $42.7 million budget.

Manalapan-Englishtown administrators will evaluate staff availability after break Administrators in the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District will use Jan. 4, Jan. 5 and Jan. 6 – the first three days schools will be back in session following winter break – “to determine if there are any staffing issues, as well as to assess the level of (coronavirus) infection in the student population,” according to Superintendent of Schools John J. Marciante Jr. Instruction on those days will be presented to all students in a fully remote manner. “On Jan. 6, the community will be informed of our intentions for moving forward. If all is well, we will return for in-person learning in the hybrid model as was in place” prior to the winter break, Marciante said.
