So the Water Department is opening up its twitter and facebook accounts. If you think youre seeing more city crews on water main breaks, you are. And theyre working longer hours, at least 16 hour shifts to make up for the surge in breaks. Check this out. The Water Department says its had more water main breaks in the first two weeks of the year than all of last january. The problem stretches from north broad street to northeast philly. In about five separate spots there were water leaks coming out tof the cracks. Reporter he lived where a water main break covered the street in ice. The break impacted hid bed and breakfast. I wasnt able to make the turn to get into my driveway and neither were my guests. Reporter and chris briefly lost water inside his home today.
