RAVENNA, Ohio (AP) A woman has been sentenced in the death of a newborn whose body was found inside a trash bag at college dormitory outside Cleveland.
Breyona Reddick has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the death of her newborn baby, who was found in a trash bag at Hiram College in late 2019. Her plea was part of a negotiated deal, with a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison.
Breyona Reddick entered her plea Friday as part of a deal with Portage County prosecutors, who agreed to dismiss several other counts including aggravated murder.
