The driver of a cocacola delivery truck lost control and slid off river road near guerneville. Authorities say the roads were wet from a steady rain when the crash happened about 1 00 this afternoon. A tow truck was called along with a hazmat team to clean up that storm. The timing has changed a little bit. Yeah, it slowed down a little bit from where we were last night, but the intensity of the storm has not changed at all. Heres the set up, we talked about it the last few nights. Developing news out of oakland this morning. A driver trying to get away from police ran into a homeless encampment, injuring three people, leaving one with a broken leg. Officers driving westbound on 9820 noticed a driver was speeding and tried to pull him over. The driver instead took the 27th street exit and overturned on north gate avenue, landing on a tent occupied by homeless people. Two other people inside the car were arrested. The driver tried to run away, but was caught. Fireworks, as usual, were spectacular, but as usual, the time it took to get home may have taken the sparkle out of the eric. The residents toll ktvu they are still too flustered to talk but from the encounter that investigators got their first good description of the suspect. A thin latino man in his 20s or 30s about 59 with groom facial hair. Authorities want people to be on the lookout for that malibu but they dont know how long he traveled. We have involved all agencies and the suspect is determined. You know he is willing to brave the elements and the terrain and so you know it is a challenge but it is a change we hope to meet and bring him into custody.
