Economics lecturer Ertan Ersoy, 50, is accused of stabbing his Italian-born academic wife Dr Antonella Castelvedere to death at their £260,000 family home in Colchester, Essex last week.
Essex Police said an injured man, 50, also discovered at the house was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital. He remains in custody, police said today.
