The Garfield Chapel Church of Christ celebrated its 60th anniversary on Aug. 7, 1955. Pictured are many members of the Blank, Downhower, Roller and Shaw families. The church was built in the same location as the former Greely Chapel, the namesake for today’s Greely Chapel Road.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The man accused of walking into a driveway and stealing a gray Dodge Challenger is now facing charges.
He was tracked down after he robbed two people at gunpoint taking $20 and one of the victim’s cell phones, police say. According to an affidavit, one of the victims tried to run away and was shot at by Key. He was not injured.

It’s debatable when history should mark the beginning of COVID-19. We do know the World Health Organization didn’t declare it a pandemic until March 11, 2020 a year ago this Thursday. But by then, we were already in the thick of fighting an enemy we couldn’t see.
I plead guilty to being one of the late believers about the virus. It wasn’t until the NCAA canceled March Madness a year ago that I was convinced the virus was serious. Money talks. And the message sent from that loss of money was loud and clear.
Clackamas County explores affordable housing in Lake Oswego
Metro, city agree to process for development of parcel along Boones Ferry Road
The Housing Authority of Clackamas County has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Metro and the city of Lake Oswego to explore the acquisition of a piece of land for the purpose of developing affordable housing.
The Clackamas Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, Feb. 9 heard a brief update on the effort to bring an affordable housing development to a parcel located at the intersection of Boones Ferry Road and West Sunset Drive in the city s Lake Grove neighborhood. The land, which amounts to a little less than an acre in size, is currently being vetted by the HACC, Metro and Lake Oswego.
