The head of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Grenville County detachment has been charged with fraud in connection with a hockey stick signed by hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
Insp. June Dobson is charged with fraud over $5,000 and breach of trust.

While the charges stem from an investigation into the theft of memorabilia from the home of the hockey legend’s father, Brantford police say the hockey stick in Dobson’s case was not one of the stolen items. Rather, the alleged fraud is an unrelated matter that came up in the course of the theft investigation.
