Renville County may not be able to provide funds to the Voluntary Employee Benefits Association accounts of all employees at the top of wage scale as hoped.
The Renville County Board of Commissioners is expected to set a public hearing in March as the first step in the process of selling 86.85 acres of land comprising Anderson Lake County Park.
If a proposal to implement a 5% pay scale progression is approved for Renville County employees, the increase in wages would not apply to elected officials.
The Renville County decision to make the auditor/treasurer an appointed position follows the resignation of newly re-elected Auditor/Treasurer Marc Iverson.
