With various areas of the Western Cape being ravaged by continuous wildfires over the past two weeks, Provincial Government has approached the National Disaster Management Centre for a Provincial Disaster Classification.
In the Overstrand, a blaze in Pringle Bay which prompted an evacuation earlier this week has been contained, but a fire threatening the Buffelsjag and Pearly Beach areas remains a concern.
