Somerset man accused of bringing meth and heroin into PCDC

Commonwealth Journal Feb 6, 2021 A Somerset man was arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Thursday on drug-related charges after a traffic stop. Brandon Mayfield, 31, is charged with first-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine and first-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin. According to PCSO, the charges stem from an earlier investigation by the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole. Officer Jason Hardwick, with the Division of Probation and Parole, and Eubank Police Department Chief Tony Duncan conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Ky. 27. In that traffic stop, officers spotted and took into custody Mayfield, who was being sought on Pulaski Circuit Court Indictments for multiple counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and Fentanyl, as well as being a Persistent Felony Offender.

Overdose leads to raid on home and three arrests

Arrested on scene were Brandon Mayfield, 31, of Somerset; Noah Bolin, 23, of Science Hill; and Dillan Gage Shadoan, 20, of Somerset. A Pulaski County grand jury will consider a drug investigation launched from an overdose call on December 18. District Judge Katie Slone ruled Monday that there was probable cause to send the case against Brandon Mayfield on for grand jury presentation. Mayfield, 31, of Somerset, has been charged with first-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, greater than 2 grams of methamphetamine); second-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, less than 10 units of Schedule 1 and 2 non-narcotic); third-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, less than 20 units of unspecified drug); and Possession of Marijuana.
