Thiensville Village President Van Mobley was running unopposed until write-in candidate Jan Heinitz started her campaign in early March.
Issues facing the village, like discussions about hybrid meetings and the handling of comments made by village officials, prompted Heinitz to run against Mobley in the April 6 election.
Mobley hopes to be re-elected and remain part of recent board discussions on issues such as public parking in Thiensville s business district and the future of the fire department.
