A man who died in a Northeastern Pennsylvania helicopter crash last week was identified as a Lehigh Valley doctor, according to a recent news report.
Sanjay Kansara, of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County was the registered owner of the four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed in a remote area in Wyoming County around 9 p.m. Thursday, after departing from the Allentown Queen City Municipal Airport an hour earlier, LehighValleyLive reports citing Federal Aviation Administration records.
Kansara s employer, Guthrie health network, described him as a fine physician and gentleman, in a Facebook announcement posted Friday.

A doctor from the Lehigh Valley has been identified in news reports as the victim of a helicopter crash on Thursday night in a remote area of northeastern Pennsylvania.
Sanjay Kansara, of Upper Saucon Township, was the registered owner of the four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed in state game lands in Wyoming County about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to Federal Aviation Administration records. WYOMING, Pa. (AP) Authorities were investigating a helicopter crash in northeastern Pennsylvania, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The wreckage of a Robinson R44 copter was found in a remote area of Wyoming on Thursday night after the agency had issued an alert about a missing aircraft, the FAA said.
There was no word on the number of people on board or their conditions.
According to the FAA, the flight had departed Allentown Queen Municipal Airport in Allentown and was headed to Bradford County Airport in Towanda.
The Robinson R44 is a four-seat light helicopter that has been in production since 1992.
