These Blokes Opened Up A Buried Safe And Found A Vin Diesel Condom

Published May 27, 2021 A Sydney man has cracked open a locked safe that he found buried beneath the ground five years ago, and inside he discovered what may truly be the greatest relic of a past civilisation discovered by humankind. Yes, of course I’m talking about a 2002 Vin Diesel promo condom for the film XXX. What else could I be talking about? Sydney legend and photographer Christiaan Van Vuuren, of  Bondi Hipsters fame, found the safe back in 2016 in an old rental home in Redfern, and finally decided to whip this bad boy open after years of wondering what the hell could be inside it.

Why Are You Like This takes aim at Gen Z: This is the most humiliating thing I ve done | Television

“This is the most humiliating thing I’ve done in my life,” says Humyara Mahbub, one of the show’s three creators. “This is my first TV writing role. My first big professional creative thing. As someone who’s been railing against creatives for the past 10 years, it’s deeply embarrassing to publicly be ‘a writer’.” Mahbub, a lawyer and freelance illustrator, is in this situation because of her friend, comedian Naomi Higgins (who also stars in the show): it was Higgins’ idea to create a series about their friendship. They then worked together, alongside Aunty Donna’s Mark Bonanno, to create a pilot for ABC’s comedy Fresh Blood 2018 initiative and “it just sort of went from there”.

It prepared him well for staying busy and getting creative in the year of Covid-19. You’ve kept yourself very busy in spite of it all in 2020. I think I got super lucky, and maybe the fact that I first started making stuff while quarantined in a hospital room 10 years ago may have worked in my favour fractionally this year when people decided they needed to be able to make stuff cost-effectively with smaller crews and under more difficult conditions. I’m feeling super fortunate to have been able to make it through the year while still being in the industry and not have to go study real

A Sunburnt Christmas review – a very Australian bad-Santa comedy for a jolly holiday season

The film is a Stan original and the feature directorial debut of Christiaan Van Vuuren, who honed his comedy skills on series such as Soul Mates and Squinters (directing several episodes of each) and is one of the ultra satirically woke Bondi Hipsters (whose amusing new half-hour spin-off on Stan, Dom and Adrian 2020, landed on the weekend). Written by Elliot Vella, Gretel Vella and Timothy Walke, A Sunburnt Christmas is wacky and sweet in a backhanded way, with a plot spearheaded by a costumed rascal bringing excitement to an otherwise uneventful, quintessentially Australian setting.
