one by one, the rest of his co-defendants filed into court for that processing. 19 have turned themselves in. 1 remains in jail trying to work out a bond deal. the d.a. never needed to issue any of the warrants as threatened because nobody wanted to go down that game of losing chicken with the prosecutor. now, some of these individuals are basically fighting, some saying they should be tried in a different courtroom in federal court, which is fine. they can argue that, and we ll get that worked out in the courts. some maintain their innocence. some are demanding a speedy trial. each one of these individuals is presumed innocent and entitled and afforded those rights to pursue what they think is their best option, whether that is full defense or a plea or something else. now, some are blaming donald trump with their public words. we have more on that coming up this hour. what you re looking at, if you take it together, the indicted rico criminal conspiracy. these are the top people star
another case that is the now surprise, he s also figuring into jack smith s case. he was subpoenaed to testify to the grand jury in the january 6th federal grand jury meeting in d.c. the subpoena serving went very poorly. he was arrested that day, actually, in february i believe, but then hoe was federally charged in maryland in may. so he s got pending federal charges against him for allegedly assaulting those fbi officers. and so i think that made it very unlikely that anybody was going to offer him a bond deal. he did not negotiate he did not successfully negotiate for one, but we don t know how long he ll be staying in the fulton county jail. what we re looking at here is a live shot. this is a little weird, but what isn t? this is a live shot from the motorcade. you can see that this is there should be a lot more traffic traveling through this part of atlanta this part of day, but they have cleared the roads. they have the overpasses blocked off as well. and this is trump s

that s in the wake of recent similar threats against d.a. fani willis. we learned about this shortly after mr. trump s attorneys agreed to a $200,000 bond deal. the agreement explicitly forbids him from using social media to, quote, intimidate any person known to him or her to be a codefendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice. there s also this breaking item, a new filing from special counsel jack smith rebutting the trump team s effort to push the january 6th trial to april of 2026. we ll have more details on that shortly. and also tonight, an arrest in illinois. a woman there charged with threatening to kill the former president and his youngest son, barron. a lot going on. paula reid starts us off. paula, is it clear why the former president won t just be released on his own recognizance. reporter: anderson, down here
