there are liaisons from other u.s. agencies that have been trying to coordinate with french officials. initially, it was so chaotic, they were in crisis mode, that the information was slow to trickle in. but now as the smoke clears, if you will, they are coordinating and speaking with french officials. the fbi, i know, is prepared to offer assistance. we don t know if that has been formally accepted yet, but the fbi is ready to give any assistance with bomb techs, with computer technicians. we know in the charlie hebdo attacks that happened there in january, that the fbi assisted with that and some of the electronics were actually looked at and analyzed at quantico in virginia. so there is good coordination. the french, of course, are key partners for u.s. agencies. there is a lot of coordination at this hour. and you can bet the americans will continue to offer assistance and help in any way that they can. pamela brown in washington, thanks so much. let s just recap what we just l
coordinated attacks against soft targets and the targets that we re seeing, wolf, it s a sports stadium, it s a theater, it s an area where there is a lot of shopping involved. it happened at the same time so what it s meant to do effectively is create like an warfare you have people fighting dividing the law enforcement because law enforcement is trained to respond but when you have multiple attacks at the same time, you re dividing the resources. clearly, this is something law enforcement around the globe prepares and trains for. again, they hit soft targets at the same time so instead of having sort of one mass response, you had to have teams going to the different locations to respond. that means dividing swat team, dividing police, it means dividing bomb techs, all of that. again, here in new york, that s
and handled them and i ve seen them used before by fbi bomb techs, et cetera. you know, you re in a major metropolitan area. you ve got the dallas pd, major atf and fbi as well as other local pd so they have a lot of resources they can bring on scene. you mentioned pamela geller who s the head or spokesperson for the american freedom defense initiative. from what i ve been able to determine that, you know, law enforcement when this first happened, they very quickly moved to get her out of the area, probably considering she could be a likely target. i mean, anyone who was the spokesperson for an organization, you know, she would become the face, the voice. so she would be an obvious target if someone was going at this facility and at this particular meeting. we know that the meeting, the

so what looks like nothing going on is exactly what law enforcement wants it to be at this point. this new video coming in from cambridge, massachusetts, in front of the home of one of the suspects. we ve been in this discussion before. the concern about booby traps, we were looking at the video as they were looking at cars in front of the suspect s home. as they go from location to location and there s three crime scenes at the moment, that concern of an ied is real. it is evident and we ve seen it in the past. in cases. yeah. it is, but they ve got the good fortune of a lot of resources. they have atf who do these things every day. they have fbi, i m sure they probably have military bomb disposal teams on scene. and in a situation like this, you have enough resources, so you can prestage, in this case, bomb techs, bomb disposal units
