Carlyle Legion News

Half time, Marsha McLean, $200;  Third quarter, Rick Schreiner, $250; and  Final score, Rick Schreiner, $400.  Congratulations to the winners.  We have had requests for donations to various local groups. As you may know, the money collected during the poppy campaign stays in our community to be used for the benefit of our veterans.   The main purpose of the fund is to assist veterans in need. It is a trust fund and can only be used with the permission of Provincial Command. This year, once permission is granted, donations will be made to the Moose Mountain Lodge, Arcola Medical Clinic, STARS Air Ambulance, Manor Fire Department and the local Air Cadet squadron.
