bob is an old friend of mine. is he mistaken about the law as you suggest. is he in good company it should be said about that you heard similar comments from the president of the united states. more than once. have you heard them from the president of mexico coast even though this day. that this law permits all of this. it specifically does not permit that in fact, race may not be used at all as a criterion for questioning someone s illegal immigration status. you are quite right that the person produces a driver s license or anything of that kind if they are under suspicion having been stopped for something else or arrested for something else and the whole incident is over. but this these misapprehensions about this law have been widespread since day one. and it is contributed this enormously bitter debate over a bill that when you read it, bill, as i know you have is really quite mild. indeed some might even say soft. bill: all right. there is more of an insidious
