The Carson City Juvenile Services Department graduated seven local youth, ages 12-17 from the Entrepreneur Mindset Program. This is the third year this program has been facilitated at Juvenile Services and the sixth graduating class.
Highway 50 Road Rally supports the organization Concerns Of Police Survivors. The Rally started in Colorado and traveled Highway 50 ending in Carson City on Thursday. They were welcomed by Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell.
Several hundred made their way Wednesday evening to the 9-11 Memorial at Mills Park for a remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorists attacks on American soil, paying tribute to those who lost their lives with words, song, prayer and hope.
There will be a September 11 memorial event at Mills Park in Carson City this Wednesday. The service will take place at the 911 memorial beginning at 6 p.m. The event is hosted by Carson City Christian Ministerial Fellowship.
The Carson City Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to become a Bee City USA. This completed the efforts of the Great Basin Beekeepers of Nevada and Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space to accomplish this certification.
