Brown sentenced for taking improper photos at Walmart

A Wichita Falls man pleaded guilty Friday to taking improper photos up a woman s dress at a local Walmart. Anthony Darrell Brown Jr., 33, was sentenced to probation during a video hearing as part of a plea agreement, according to court documents. Presiding Judge Bob Brotherton sentenced Brown to three years of probation and a $1,000 fine in return for his guilty plea Friday in 30th District Court to improper photo or video in a bathroom or dressing room.  Brotherton suspended a two year state-jail sentence in favor of probation.  The crime is punishable by up to two years in state jail.

Bossier police jury discuss storm response; after incident meeting set for Monday

BENTON, La. For the first time since the February storm that dumped snow and ice on the Ark-La-Tex, the Bossier Parish Police Jury met, where the parish s response came up several times. Wednesday s session was their regularly scheduled meeting, but a separate after incident meeting on Monday will focus specifically on the storm. Overall. everyone was very complimentary on how the parish handled the snow and ice but they admit there are areas where they can be better prepared. Every event is gonna have its own particular deal, said parish administrator Bill Altimus. When you have good people in all the appropriate positions. They know what to do, and they re going to get it done.
