Israeli cybersecurity co Perception Point raises $28m The Tel Aviv-based company offers fast interception of content-based attacks as a service. Israeli email and collaboration security company Perception Point today announced that it has completed a $28 million Series B financing round led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with new investor NGP Capital and existing investors Pitango Venture Capital and State of Mind Ventures (SOMV). Yoram Oron and Atad Peled from Red Dot Capital Partners, and Bo Ilsoe from NGP Capital will be joining the company’s board of directors. €26M round to expand diffractive optics production at NIL Technology 25 Feb 2021 New European Innovation Council Fund takes part in series B effort by Danish maker of optical components. NIL Technology (NILT), the Copenhagen-based provider of specialist optical components including metalenses, has raised €26 million in a new round of venture funding. The fundraising effort, which including a significant contribution from the new European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund, is set to extend the firm’s mass production capability - alongside efforts to advance new metalens technology and reduce component size and complexity. NILT, which also offers nanoimprint lithography services, says it has already made inroads into the fast-growing area of 3D sensing inside smart phones. It is now expecting to see that technology proliferate into other applications, including autonomous vehicles.

NIL Technology raises 26 million euros to accelerate manufacturing of optical solutions for 3D sensing

Share: Copenhagen, Denmark – February 24, 2021 – NIL Technology (NILT), a specialist in advanced optical solutions has carried out a financing round of 26 million euros (USD 31 million). The financing was co-led by Jolt Capital, NGP Capital and Vaekstfonden, with EIC Fund as a new significant investor. Over the last two years, NILT has developed unique solutions for optical components that take optical sensing and 3D imaging to a new level with respect to performance, efficiency, compactness, and material consumption. 3D sensing is a pioneering feature for smartphones, consumer products, AR/MR, autonomous vehicles, etc., where cutting edge real-time sensor technologies, such as face- and gesture recognition or monitoring of surroundings are wanted.
