On Thursday at 6 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a wanted person around Rocket Park, located at 1827 N. 26th St. Before officers arrived, they learned that the 44-year-old man had an active no-bond warrant for his arrest out of Grand Junction for misdemeanor domestic violence and a protection order violation, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, which released preliminary information on the incident on behalf of the 21st Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team.

L&A OPP make impairment charges following MVC

A two vehicle collision in Greater Napanee ended with impairment charges. Last Friday evening, officers with Lennox and Addington County OPP responded to the report on County Road 9. An investigation revealed that a Green Mazda vehicle lost control and collided with a Black Mazda vehicle on County Road 9, just south of Township Road 9 in Greater Napanee.  Police determined that the driver of the Green Mazda was showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for processing.  One driver suffered minor injuries. As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged a 23-year-old from Stone Mills Township with operation while impaired and operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.
