Manassas mayor orders all City Council meetings to be held online

Nearly a year into the pandemic and the Manassas City Council says it’s done holding meetings in public.
In one of her first actions as mayor, Michelle Davis-Younger told residents Monday night that starting on Monday, February 8, all City Council meetings will be held virtually.
The move comes as the city erected plexiglass barriers to separate council members, who are already wearing masks to protect themselves from the virus. City officials had been limiting the number of residents who could sit inside the council chambers to view its elected officials in action.
