The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra presented an extremely inspired evening of music earlier this month in the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre, a welcome relief for many who suspected that live performances might be put on hold indefinitely at the start of this new year.
A birthday celebration concert for HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, patron of the RBSO, it is little short of a miracle that concerts of any kind can still be presented during the currently restrictive environment of social distancing. Precious few locations in the world are able to concertise at present, and we must remind ourselves just how very lucky we are that the RBSO has in fact three January concerts in quick succession at the Thailand Cultural Centre.
