Right so, we all know Love Actually inside out and upside down, there’s no denying it. It’s the British Christmas film of choice. It’s more directly related to the festive season in the UK than the actual Bible by now, and that’s just a fact. And as you gleefully rewatch it with your friends and fam and joke about Liam Neeson being a bit of a daddy (who said that? Couldn’t be me x), Emma Thompson crying and Kiera Knightley saying “I look rather pretty”, you ignore one crucial thing.

Here we go, it s the weekend before Christmas, so there will be a lot of running around town. With COVID this year we are watching more tv and movies than ever before. The great thing is that there are quite a few great Christmas movies to watch. Here are some of my favorites!
A Christmas Story - Who can forget the quote You ll shoot your eye out! or the leg lamp?
The Santa Clause - What a wonderful concept of Santa. Tim Allen is a gem in this film.
Love Actually - if you ve never seen this movie, it is SO worth it! The ensemble cast is great and I love Billy Nighy as the aging rocker!

The 2003 festive film has become a regular fixture of most British family’s Christmas viewing schedules. The romantic-comedy features a number of A-list celebrities including Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Bill Nighy, Rowan Atkinson and the late Alan Rickman. An unearthed clip from the iconic film hit shows an uncomfortable scene showing rockstar Billy Mack that some wished had made the final cut.

The tense moments starred Nighy’s character and his manager Joe, played by Gregor Fisher, during an awkward interaction “two weeks before Christmas”.
Creator and director Richard Curtis described it as “another one of the scenes that we took out” but didn’t cite why.
