There is something infatuating about the Royal Rumble. Maybe it’s due to its unpredictability or the fact that it’s a chance to start a brand new wrestling year off fresh. Even though seeing multiple men or women in the ring at the same time could seem like a nightmare in the Covid era, there is nothing better in wrestling than starting that countdown from ten and anxiously waiting to see if your favorite wrestler or an old returning star is about to come in and clean house. Sometimes, it’s the desire to get to the Rumble that keeps me alive through duller PPVs like Payback and Fastlane.
