Owners have invested nearly $2 million into project At least 20 full-time jobs will be created Bedrock The new 192-seat Saucy Brew Works will offer a variety of beers, specialty coffee drinks and food in its home in Bedrock s City Modern development in Detroit. Saucy Brew Works, an Ohio-based chain that serves as part brewery, part coffeehouse, plans to open its first Michigan location in Detroit later this winter. The company, established in 2017, is set to open the doors of its fourth location on March 3 after its original Dec. 4 opening date was pushed back by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 5,700-square-foot location at 2671 John R will be the first restaurant to open within the City Modern mixed-use community development in the city s Brush Park neighborhood, it said in a news release. Saucy Brew Works will provide a 20 percent discount to all City Modern residents, the release states.
