As Bihar grapples with a high number of coronavirus cases, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a meeting today with top ministers has extended the current lockdown in the state. Bihar on May 4 had imposed a lockdown till May 15 which was extended till May 25.
The ongoing lockdown has now been extended till June 1. CM Nitish Kumar took to Twitter to announce the decision.
All shops selling vegetables, fruits, eggs, and meat remain open.

Earlier, a total lockdown was imposed till May 15 to curb the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 cases in the state.

The Nitish Kumar government in Bihar extended the COVID-19 lockdown till May 25, on Thursday (May 13). Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had on Tuesday (May 4) announced to impose total lockdown till May 15 to curb the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 cases in the state.
CM Nitish Kumar took to Twitter to announce the decision.

PATNA: In the light of the surge in the Covid-19 cases in the state, the Bihar government on Tuesday imposed lockdown in the state till May 15. The decision of chief minister Nitish Kumar came after Patna high court on Monday asked the state government to control the Covid-19 situation and declare a lockdown or it will have to pass an appropriate order.
For travelling during the lockdown period, an e-pass will be required.
How to apply for an e-pass
To obtain an e-pass issued for your personal vehicle, you will have to apply online at serviceonline.bihar.gov.in .
You will have to provide complete information about the work for which you require a pass and the number of people going with you.
