GLENDALE, ARIZONA Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Ty Emberson to a three-year entry-level contract beginning this season (2020-21). Emberson will report to the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL). As per Club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. We are very pleased to sign Ty to an entry-level contract, said Armstrong. Ty is a good two-way defenseman who can play in all situations. He is another good prospect for us, and we look forward to monitoring his development.

 is in the Hobey âHat Trickâ as one of three finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
First handed out in 1981, it goes annually to college hockeyâs top menâs player.
The nationâs leading scorer joins Minnesota State junior goaltender Dryden McKay and North Dakota sophomore forward Shane Pinto among the three remaining players considered for the accolade.
Caufield boasts 30 goals and 52 points in 31 games played. He leads the nationâs second-highest scoring skater by 11 goals and holds a five-point lead on the next closest scorer. His 1.68 points per game are tops in the country.

Rutgers’ dominant run against Indiana parallels rise of program

It’s easy to forget as the years go by and Steve Pikiell continues to elevate Rutgers basketball but during the first two seasons in the Big Ten, the Scarlet Knights were just 3-33 under former head coach Eddie Jordan. Things got a little better during Pikiell’s first two seasons, as RU went 6-30 in Big Ten regular season play but this program was still buried in the basement. While they upset 11 seed Ohio State as the 14 seed in the first round of the 2017 Big Ten Tournament, upstart Northwestern blew them out of the gate the following day on its way to a first and only NCAA Tournament appearance.
