The 2021 rodeo season kicked off in Buffalo on Saturday with PRCA competition from Forever West Extreme Bulls.

The rodeo is set to start at 5pm with the Calcutta taking place at 3pm.
The Calcutta is being sponsored by the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and the proceeds will go to support the Buffalo High School FFA.

Big Horn Mountain Radio and Legend Communication are pleased to announce that area contributions to the St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital exceeded 150K in last week’s annual two-day radiothon.
This is by far the largest amount raised by Legend Communications which owns three networks, Big Horn Mountain Radio in Buffalo and Sheridan, Big Horn Radio in Cody and Worland, and Basin Radio in Gillette.
The local network, Big Horn Mountain Radio Network also garnered its largest number of Partners in Hope with 135 local contributors.
The theme of this year’s radiothon was “We Won’t Stop” in the fight to cure cancer in children.
The Johnson County School District held the first of three community forums in its effort to hire a new Superintendent. Gregory Figenser serves as a curriculum director in Colorado and spent Monday morning touring Kaycee School and holding the first of two forums before visiting the Buffalo Schools and holding a second forum at the.Continue reading

The Johnson County School District has provided additional information regarding the three community forums with the Superintendent candidates.
Each of the three forums began this morning at 7:15am and continue until 8:30am at Kaycee School on April 12
th. The forums will also be held on April 19
th, and 21
st.
Later on those same days, the forums will continue in the Buffalo High School Auditorium from 6pm to 7pm.
