fire engulfed a luxury 63 story building in dubai, very close to the world s tallest skyscraper, and just before a fireworks for midnight, new year s eve, was about to begin. not clear what caused this fire but certainly raining debris from the building, threatened the lives of people around and it embers as well. but that area was evacuated. we have another a global radio news reporter in dubai. what can you tell us? well, i m about ten miles away from burj khalifa, in the biddle of dubai, middle of downtown, where the dubai mall would be, the biggest mall in the world, the biggest fountains. this is the tallest building in the world and the rest of hotel is in the middle of this huge complex so this is a place on a night like tonight, most of the
convicted murderers richard matt and david sweat claim they were able to convince a prison worker joyce mitchell to do their biddle for thbi bidding for them and she is charged with helping them break out and is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with at least one of them, possibly both. it s a frighteningly familiar story. in baltimore it seem there is s a prison run by the inmates using sex as coercion. here s cnn s randi kaye. reporter: before a sweeping investigation into the baltimore city detention center, the inmates seemed to be running the place. a deadly gang called the black guerrilla family lorded over an empire of drugs and other contraband in the jail. all at the direction of their leader, inmate tavon white. tavon white is wiretapped as part of the investigation and there s a quote that s stood out where he says this is my jail. something along the lines of his word is law. reporter: who was white and
