This weekend is prepped to be one for the books as Columbia and Maury County celebrates the Fourth of July, starting with First Fridays, parades and, of course, fireworks.

The July 4 weekend kicks off with another summer First Fridays on the downtown square, when shops stay open late and musicians are on every corner.

Saturday will continue with the
3rd of July Bike Parade for kids at Riverwalk Park, 102 Riverside Drive, from 9-11 a.m. The lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. at the park s Rotary Shelter, with kids decorating their bikes with patriotic flair. Other events include bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, popcorn and a balloon artist. There will also be opportunities to cool off at the Rotary s splash pad.

Event Description
The 2021 St. Paddy s Day Bicycle Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, March 13 at Kiroli Park in West Monroe.
The event is hosted by the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and Kiroli Park Foundation. The Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free for the public. Following COVID-19 guidance, social distancing and masks are encouraged during the event.
The festivities will include live music and entertainment, St. Paddy s Day arts and crafts, games, and so much more! Free green lemonade and additional food items will be for sale. The Bicycle Parade is open to adults, children and pets and is a non-motorized parade that can include bicycles, scooters, wagons, strollers, etc. The parade lines up at 1 p.m. and begins shortly afterwards. Prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated adult, children and pets.
