Opposition parties including Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) and Congress leader have asked Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to clarify if there are plans to settle Chakma community from Arunachal Pradesh to Assam.
Guwahati: Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said BJP’s fight is with Badruddin Ajmal’s AIUDF in Nagaon and Karimganj, the only two Lok Sabh.
Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika has claimed that the state Congress President Bhupen Borah will leave the party soon after Lok Sabha polls conclude.He told press on Friday: "Bhupen Borah claimed that he would become the Chief Minister of Assam .
