Share Updated: 10:58 PM CDT Jul 3, 2021 Contractors for Jackson s Department of Public Works completed repairs to the well right here on the Maddox well system.The completed repairs include the installation of a new pump and other parts. The city is expected to begin sampling the water Tuesday, July 6.Once the Mississippi Department of Health approves the samples, the well will be placed back in service. I really think they need to just go ahead and not put a band-aid on it and just do what they are supposed to do when they do release money to get pips and things fixed, because people really need water, said Betty Hicks, resident.The city of Jackson currently has five wells online that provide water to its well customers.The city has not received recent calls from residents experiencing related disruptions.
