(ABC 6 News) Iowa s world-famous and the world s oldest, longest, and largest recreational bicycle touring event is back this year. Organizers say they are hoping to bounce back from last year s cancellation because of the pandemic.
RAGBRAI, The Register s Annual Great Bicycle Race Across Iowa, announced its plans and route on Saturday at the Big Grove Brewery Taproom in Iowa City. This is the cycling event s 48th year.
RAGBRAI will take place from July 25 to 31, 2021. Organizers say this will be the event s latest flattest route. The 2021 Route is 426 miles and 11,481 feet of climb making it the 16
th flattest in RAGBRAI history. The City of Le Mars, IA is hosting the starting point for the second time. The ride ends in Clinton, IA.
