A 35-year-old man who is accused of killing his wife and another woman and stabbing a dog in a Dorchester apartment over the weekend was ordered held without bail on Monday, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins’ office.
Marcus Chavis was arraigned in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court on Monday on two counts of murder and one count of animal cruelty in connection with the killing of 28-year-old Fatima Yasin and 42-year-old Jahaira DeAlto, authorities said.
Authorities say Chavis called 911 shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Sunday to report that he had stabbed his wife. Officers arrived at a Taft Street building, where Chavis, Yasin, DeAlto and two children lived, police said.
