COVINGTON, Ga. A family is begging for help after a U-Haul was stolen with their son’s ashes inside of it. Kassandra and Benjamin Benton were traveling when they stopped for the night at a hotel in Covington, Georgia.
Benjamin said they went to dinner and later went to sleep. When he woke in the morning, he realized something was off.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - After having their U-Haul reportedly stolen during their move to northwest Louisiana, the Bentons say theyâre overwhelmed with the support from the community.
âI feel like we were welcomed into this community with open arms and nothing but love,â Benjamin Benton said. âThe amount of people who have helped out and donated, just everything. Iâm just overwhelmed by the way this community works.â

COVINGTON, Ga. A heart-shaped urn with the remains of a South Carolina couple’s baby son was among items still missing today after thieves took a U-Haul truck containing their belongings from outside a Covington hotel early Wednesday.
Police were investigating the 1:24 a.m. theft of the white Ford F-650 truck from the parking lot of La Quinta Inn at 9159 Access Road.
