A division bench of the Calcutta High Court granted permission for the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, to visit Sandeshkhali village. The village has been the site of protests due to allegations of sexual atrocities and land grabbing by certain leaders of the ruling TMC party.
Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday reached Sandeskhali in West Bengal s North 24 Parganas district after being granted permission by a division bench of the Calcutta High Court to visit the restive area.
