Mike Tomlin. With this extension, Tomlin extends his reign as the longest-tenured Black head coach in the National Football League. Among all NFL coaches, only
Bill Belichick and
Sean Payton have coached their respective teams longer than Tomlin has coached his.
Tomlin is one of the most successful head coaches in Pittsburgh s storied history. The Hampton, Virginia native has never had a losing season and an overall record of 153-86-1. His career winning percentage of .640 is the highest of any head coach in the team s history. Adding on, the distinguished man of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has also led the team to two Super Bowls in his 15-year run.

Wow, we’re cruising through this off-season at a sloth-like pace.

Hey, is it just me, or is this off-season moving even slower than the normal off-season? Man, it seems like the Super Bowl ended a couple months ago. Well, baby steps will help us get through this, so for now, let’s focus on surviving the work week so we can get to the weekend. Anyone have plans for the weekend? Kiddo and I have a weekend of ice fishing planned, we’ll squeeze in some sleep here and there, and hopefully many meals featuring yummy walleye (or perch, they work, too). I don’t know why it is, but fish that’s pan fried on the shore, or in this case, in the ice house, tastes better than it does anywhere else. I hope to put that opinion to the test this weekend.
