SCENES from the nativity will be on show outside Ben Rhydding Methodist Church as the traditional Christmas Eve service cannot take place due to the pandemic. A spokesperson for the church said: “Covid 19 has put paid to the customary Christmas Eve service inside Ben Rhydding Methodist church this year but scenes from the Christmas story will be on display outside the church for all to visit and enjoy in the week before Christmas.” Writing on the church’s website Methodist minister Rev Shannon DeLoreal says: “Sadly we cannot invite large numbers of people to gather indoors or outdoors this Christmas. Instead we are mounting a display in the church grounds. Walk the path at any time to see the Christmas Story.”
