Andrei Iancu rejoins Irell & Manella 07-04-2021 20-10-2020 Former US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) director Andrei Iancu has rejoined Californian firm Irell & Manella as a partner. The former Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property has returned to the firm he left to head up the USPTO in 2018. He officially rejoined Irell on April 1, focusing his practice on IP litigation and counselling. “Andrei is one of the most prominent and sought-after figures in IP today and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him back to the firm,” said Ben Hattenbach, a member of Irell’s executive committee.
