Three people have died in a two-car crash in the NSW central west, causing the closure of a major highway.
The crash happened on the Mid Western Highway at Purcell Drive in Woodstock, near Cowra, just after 4pm.
Two people travelling in one vehicle, and one person in another vehicle, died at the scene, NSW Police said.

The Mid Western Highway is closed in both directions and emergency services are on the scene.
The Transport Management Centre has advised motorists to avoid the area. Light vehicles in both directions are diverting via Walli Road, Belubula Way and Werribee Road, it said.
