In particular, those include agribusiness, new genetic opportunities, the potential of animal husbandry, new crop varieties, R&D efforts in such fields as microelectronics, photonics, microwave electronics, technologies for advanced conversion of peat, for water purification, equipment and technologies for healthcare.
Sergei Chizhik said: “Participation in the Innoprom expo has already become a tradition for us. Yet the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus always attaches great importance to it. This year our country is the main partner of this expo, this is why we showcase not only manufacturing sector products but also R&D products."
Once the expo attracted over 100,000 visitors in Minsk, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave instructions to demonstrate the expo in all the oblast capitals. The Intellectual Belarus project has travelled all over the country and will finish the tour of the regions in Brest.
The exposition was divided into a number of clusters: artificial intelligence, IT-technologies, robotics; innovative instrumentation; electric transport and its basic components; defense and military science; ecology, nature management; biotechnologies; pharmacy, healthcare, medicine; agroindustrial complex, food; youth initiatives.
"Tremendous tectonic shifts are happening in international relations," he said. “The map of Europe and the world is being redrawn. The question of friends and allies in a turbulent world has become extremely important."
