rospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Gomel Oblast and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast were discussed by Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko and head of the representative office of Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in Belarus Andrei Dudkin at a meeting on 7 August.
The Nizhny Novgorod Oblast representative office was made familiar with prospects of Gomel Oblast regions over the course of two days. They visited a cheese and dairy products enterprise of OAO Milkavita, a workwear manufacturing enterprise, and a reinforced-concrete products enterprise in Khoiniki District.
The meeting was initiated by the Russian side. A presentation was arranged of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast's interest in directly buying Belarusian goods and services and possibilities for direct deliveries of products made by Nizhny Novgorod Oblast enterprises to Belarus.
